Dr. Amr Radwan 

Adjunct Associate Professor of Practice, STI Policy Research Hub

 

Amr Radwan is a pharmacologist, R&D professional, and development practitioner with technical and field experience in STI management. He has led process innovation and R&D projects in several pharmaceutical companies. He has worked as a researcher and consultant with several institutions in Europe and currently leads the regional office of the Arab-German Academy of Sciences. He has been awarded a large number of highly competitive grants and has been an evaluator at many international programs, including Erasmus+, Horizon Europe & Italian Development Cooperation. He is also a seasoned researcher in the field of science policy and innovation management and has co-authored several regional strategies and roadmaps and developed regional funding schemes. He is a supervisor of research & innovation at the Egyptian Academy of Scientific Research, where he also supervised national funding programs and developed several innovation support programs.

Amr is a management board member of several international funding programs and a national contact point for key agencies such as the EU Innovation Council and the European Institute of Technology, COST scientific networks. He serves on several strategic committees and advisory boards, including the Medical Research Council, Africa Funding Hub advisory board, and D8 Organization tech transfer. He holds a PhD in Pharmacology, an MBA, and Diplomas in Investment Management and Intellectual Property Rights.
