Program Focus
MOT Teaching Focus
The MOT programs focus on ways to explore and leverage technologies that can be adapted to simplify, excel, and possibly automate the various “processes” used today in practice. Results of the research work conducted by graduate students for the Doctorate, Master of science, and Professional Master are documented in dissertation, thesis, and technical reports respectively. Contributions of these research work to the knowledge in the MOT field are highly emphasized during the study. Methodologies of scientific research, management tools, and business ethics are stressed throughout the programs.
MOT Teaching Philosophy
MOT's teaching philosophy relies heavily on students’ self-initiative, self-study, and understanding. It is meant to widen their horizons, inflame their intellect, and teach them to think and to look for information, knowledge, and proper technologies. The courses at The MOT school involve a blend of lectures, class discussions, group exercises, projects, and case analyses. Students are expected to complete assignments and discuss them in class. Participation in class discussions is important and counted heavily in the total evaluations. Students’ preparations include reading, online search, and personal observations.
