Technology Foresight, Forecasting & Pivotal and Emerging Technologies

In the first part of this course, the topics covered are Methods and Tools of technological foresight and forecasting.  This includes monitoring scenarios, Delphi techniques, expert opinion, trend analysis, modeling, and scenario construction.  The second part includes a discussion of new and emerging technologies and the process by which these technologies were developed and are evolving. The impact of these technologies on the competitiveness of the industry and economic growth with national and international implications are identified.
