Advanced Research Methods

This course will introduce you to more complex study designs and higher-level critical appraisal. Several research methods will be explored in depth with consideration of both quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods designs. The course will equip the students with the ability to evaluate the utility of different research designs to address specific research questions. Students develop the skills to recognize and reflect on the strengths and limitations of different research methodologies, understand the links between theory and practice, critically assess research, and address ethical and practical issues. Students will learn about Epistemology and the theory behind and application of those research methods.
